be laid to rest on Monday, Jan. 9th.
I would like to take this time to thank all of
you who sent notes of concern. I was overwhelmed
and so appreciated each and every one of them.

This Day In History
On January 6, 1945, George Herbert Walker Bush, on leave from active duty in World War II, married former Barbara Pierce. The bride was twenty years old—the groom her senior by just one year. George Bush enlisted in the Navy the day he graduated from in Andover, Massachusetts. Still eighteen when commissioned in June 1943, Bush became the youngest pilot in the United States Navy. Following the war, he attended and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1948.
